We need governing, not politicians

Let's govern to put you first.

I am so tired of politicians. The constant talking heads on cable news. The types who put winning before governing. The strategists who couldn't care less what's in your best interest and only care for the special interests. The awful pol who would divide in order to conquer.

It's time we elect someone who governs. Let's not elect people who look good on camera with their catchphrases and put politics first.

Let's put the people first. Let's at decisions through a dual lens: what is in the interest of my constituents and what are the best ideas to meet it? I study the intricacies and complexities of how government works and thinks about the impact on ordinary lives.

That's my style of leadership: I commit to read, study, debate, learn, and propose bold ideas as long as they are good ideas. I commit to defining a win as something that improves your life, saves you some money, protects the planet for those who will follow.

I'm never going to be good at the politicking, the money raising, the demonizing. What I promise is I will continue to be one of the best at governing.
